Corporate Photography Services have been offered by Christies Photographic Studios for over 30 years. Business‘s need corporate photos for press releases of new staff, to show the world there latest accomplishment or just to document their business efforts.

Corporate reports and or national brochures require professional corporate photography for annual reports, to show new facilities products or people. Corporate awards programs are a great way to recognize those who support your success. Combine that with an award photo and you will create thank you with tremendous residual value.

Corporate photos also can be used to add great value to your proposals by showing as well as telling which allows you to stand out from your competition.

Now that we can see some light at the end of the tunnel, its time to re-evaluate how we sell value over price

We all have some much more competition now that Christie’s feels its important to sell our strengths and not rock bottom pricing. Don’t get us wrong we do discount but what about selling our advantages and not just based on who can do it cheaper.

Our strengths are worth something right? We feel that people are willing to pay more for products and services when they think it is special or of value to them.

Christie’s strives to not only put a value on our services but also how do we present ourselves to the Hospitality Industry. How do we get the point across to our valued clients that our services have value.

We like to play on our strengths. Our products and services speak for themselves. Instead of selling against our competitors we sell our services and products. We know our competition and we know our company strengths.

Christie’s customer services are not the norm for photography companies. We have a 24/7 real live answering service that pages our managers on duty to return calls after hours. We return our correspondence within 12 hours. We believe that our product and services are only as good as our customer service.

Christie’s believes in selling value not price. What do you all think?

So now that summer is right around the corner what are you all planning on doing? As far as Christie’s goes we will be attending the National Association of Catering Executives National Show in New Orleans, International Special Event Society in Dallas Texas, which by the way ISES will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary. We all will be celebrating in style.

These are just a few to name as to what Christie’s will be doing this summer. We feel that this is the perfect time of the year to reach out to all our clients, network across the United States, think of new services that we can offer, and lastly re-charge our own personal batteries.

Christie’s loves their clients and we value our time with each and every one of you. The national conferences are a perfect way to celebrate, and re-connect with our friends. The education factor is also imperative that we get to learn new skillsets, and hear new motivational speakers.

Please let us know if you will be attending any conferences this year and hopefully we will see you there. Let’s kick this summer off to a great start!

Last week Christie’s was lucky enough to be one of the sponsors for the SITE meeting held in Daytona Beach Florida!

We all had a terrific time while learning new skills, making new friends and finally experiencing all the sights and sounds that Daytona had to offer.

We started off Golfing at the world famous LPGA International golf course that has been the site to several LPGA tournaments. Some of us hit a hole in one and some of us…well we would rather let that go unsaid, if you understand what we are saying.

There was indulging at the Spa at the Shores Resort & Spa for some pampering and an Eco-cruise only the Intracoastal Waterways as well as Tandem Skydiving.

There were unbelievable seminars to attend so that we may learn more about the Incentive end of the hospitality business. We had the opportunity to meet some of the movers and shakers on the incentive business and pick their brains for ways to become one of their all-important business partners.

The finale was starting our engines with a VIP tour of the Daytona International Speedway and a lunch sponsored by the Richard Petty Driving Experience.

What a wonderful way to spend our time with a couple of hundred new friends in Daytona and most of all learning a new skill set.

You hit one out of the park SITE and thank you for allowing Christie’s Photographic Studios for being a part of it all!

Social Media forums offer so many great options for connecting and networking; however, it is really important to know some simple rules when using places like Facebook on a personal and a professional level.

Andy Ebon, is an event professional with expertise in educating wedding professionals on all things marketing & social media related! He recently shared a great article with us that give some quick and basic tips on what you should and should not be doing if you are utilizing social media to network your business.

Here is his “crash course” on Social Media Etiquette:

Social Media offers many great options to connect, reconnect, and network. It also provides any number of ways to offend, annoy, and irritate friends, family, and peers. Here are some dos and don’ts to keep you in good favor.

When using social media for business, don’t ramble on about mundane personal tasks. Few people care that you went out for a ham sandwich, dropped your child at soccer practice, or are making a visit to the dentist. Mixing a little personal with business (about 20/80), particularly with some tasteful humor, is fine, but keep it interesting. Bonus points for photos of pets.

Stay away from religion and politics… particularly on your Facebook news stream. No matter what your position, it will offend some percentage of your connections. Being passionate about issues is a wonderful thing, but not in a business context.

Often we forget that the worlds of Facebook or Twitter users overlap. No two people have the same circle of friends or followers, rather they have connections in common. And, depending on how you have configured your privacy settings, it may allow friends of friends to see what you post. Depending on what you post, that can be a problem.

For example, you’re out on the town with a few of your peers, who are also personal friends. You post a few photos of members of the group, living it up. Other peers, not included in this social outing, may feel left out. It can look quite cliquey. If the photos aren’t from an industry event, it’s a risky post. How do you feel, when you’re left out?

Privacy Settings

Revisit your privacy settings and be certain you have the right limitations on access to your content for all social media sites… Facebook in particular. It’s not just a question of offending someone. It can be an issue of posting too much personal information, making you vulnerable to identify theft.

The development of Facebook, and now Google +, allow you to create business identities, separate from your personal profiles. Perhaps it’s time to consider it. Making the separation, and migration, to create distinct profiles, personally, and for your business, may be the best way to consciously channel activity. Yes, it’s a hassle, but taking that step helps keep you clear on which voice you are speaking with.

Public vs. Private

Too often, a person makes a public post, and we chime in. It may be that the original post should not have been public. Think before you answer a post with another post. Maybe it’s more appropriate to send a private message. Don’t compound someone else’s mistake.

The Competition and your Peers

Don’t critique the competition, no matter what your privacy settings. That’s a dangerous road, even in a private conversation. On a social media site (or in an email), you never know who will share it. If you’re not comfortable seeing your words on a billboard, don’t post them, message them, or email them. (Please reread this directive until you’ve committed it to memory).

One Rule To Live By: Just because you can do it, doesn’t mean it’s a good idea!

Starting with email, message boards, text messages, and now social media, it’s instant-communication, all the time. Slow down… take time to think.

Don’t just think about your words and message. Ask yourself if you’re using the best medium, the proper degree of public/private visibility, or whether you should send the message into cyberspace, at all.

The best advice is to put yourself in the other person’s shoes and proceed with caution. Do that and you’ll be perceived more positively, by all who are interested in what you have to say.

Visit The Wedding Marketing Blog to follow Andy and to find out where in the world he is speaking and educating!

Christie’s has always believed in the importance of not only attending our industry association meetings but also becoming actively involved in the association. You cannot just attend and expect our clients to fall all over themselves to get to you. You must establish a relationship and prove to you and all involved why they need to use you.

The associations are a gold mine for education opportunities as well as future work. Our clients that attend these meetings go to establish a business partner that they can trust and are not afraid to let them interact with their clientele.

Not only does your product need to be something that our clients need but also a trust issue is at hand. Our clients must be able to trust that we are going to do what we say we are, our products or top notch, and we will represent them in the fashion they are expecting.

The world of clients is a tricky but yet rewarding world; and we love our associations as well as our clients.

Not only did were we the official show photographer but our very own Bob Christie presented an award at the closing awards/gala celebration. Congrats to all the winners and very special congratulations to our dear friend Paul Creighton for winning the Lifetime Achievement award. Well-deserved Paul!

The trade show floor was hopping and of course the night time receptions were out of this world. Try to imagine the most unbelievable events that you could ever attend and that would be the parties at night and we were there with some innovative green screen and super photography capturing the look and feel of each event!

We loved reconnecting with our industry friends and making new connections. We can’t wait to hit the cold of Chicago next year and thank you to all that came by our booth.
