TSE 2011 Follow-up

Monday, January 31st, 2011

WOW!!  What a great TSE conference this year in Phoenix.  From the amazing education to the new technology on the show floor.  Check out these Wire FREE LED lights that were the talk of the attendees.  What a great tool for all the Event Producers out there….  WIRE FREE!  only takes 15 minutes to set up and we all know how long the wired ones take.   Another great thing about these is when you have professional photos done there are NO wires in the shot…    I have attached their link to this blog for everyone to enjoy.  Looking forward to TSE 2012 in TAMPA, FL….

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

Make sure when you are planning your next incentive trip you add photographic documentation to your budget.  What a great way to create an incentive for your sales staff to exceed their goals for next years trip, by showing them this past trip.   Incentive Trips have received some negative press these days.  We can change that by showing the volunteer hours these trips include through Press Releases and Media outlets through photography.   So, the next time, you are planning an incentive trip remember to book your professional photographer to document the event.

Have you Networked lately?

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

In the new economy networking is so important for survival.  Some tips for networking that I have learned along the way.

1.  Get to know your potential client.  Don’t just start selling your product on them.

2.  Follow-up with your potential client the next day.

3.  Be genuine.  Don’t be a used car sales person.

4.  Pair yourself with quality partners.

Networking has made this professional photography company who it is today.  Remember to get out there and work the room correctly and things will happen for you too.

Recently in Orlando

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Recently, Orlando had (7) photographers with lights and backgrounds they (14) assistants for one job at the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort.  Not only did we provided the staff but we also provided prints onsite. Make sure that when you have a large event that your Professional Photography Company can handle everything that is stated in the proposal.  Questions to ask..

1.  How many photographers do you have on staff?

2.  What is the largest job you have completed in one day?

 3.  What type of liability insurance and what is your coverage?

4.  Ask for samples of the their work.

5.  What is the policy if we change items on-site?

6. Make sure you get everything in writing.

Professional Event Photography

Monday, July 12th, 2010

” I have my own camera” So you ask yourself  ”Why do I need to hire a Professional Event Photographer?”  Here are some urban myths regarding Professional Event Photography.

1.  Professional Event Photography is too expense….  Not true…  Your ROI can be based on the documentation photos that your photographer took.  You need to make sure that the photographer is professional trained because Seeing is Believing and a photo is worth 1000 words..

2. I have my own camera so I can point and shot…..  true however as creative as you are we have staff photographer that have been in the industry for over 27 years.  They are trained to capture angles, lights, and environmental atomsphere in a way that will bring your audience back to that moment..  Making those that were not present wish they were present and making your next event even better..

3.  Not in the budget this year.  Most events have a Marketing Budget that your photographic needs can be placed in because you are going to use the photos for Marketing your upcoming future events.

So hiring a Professional Event Photographer actually saves you time and potentially adds to your ROI..

Travelling Photographer with Conferences

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Retaining a photographic company who can travel with you can yield many benefits.

  • First, you know the quality you will receive which is very important as you have spent a lot of time and money to create a powerful learning and/or sales environment. These photos can and will be used for years to market future programs by showing the success’s of the past.
  • Secondly, by travelling with your company the photographers learn what you and your staff desire within the photographic world. This makes both you and your company familiar and comfortable with the end product.  Also by having the same photographers, you as the meeting planner will have one less item to worry about.

A traveling photographer shouldn’t be as much about cost as it is about capturing the essence of your event thereby creating innumerable marketing opportunities all the while keeping you and your team satisfied.
